Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) registered nurse position is available in a short-term acute care facility located in the region. The role involves providing specialized nursing care to patients requiring both medical surgical and telemetry services. The assignment offers a fast-paced environment with multidisciplinary support and opportunities to work with a diverse patient population.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid state license; at least 1 year of nursing experience including patient care in medical surgical with telemetry units, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response and code teams, peripheral line care, oxygen administration and airway management, management of neuro and stroke patients, seizure disorders, spinal cord injuries, Substance withdrawal, telemetry monitoring (including remote), and electronic health record proficiency.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in community hospital settings and trauma Level II experience.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The unit manages patients with diagnoses such as TIA/stroke, trauma, epilepsy monitoring, neurosurgical cases including craniotomies, subdural hematomas, and post-neurosurgery care. Interdisciplinary collaboration with IV teams, therapy services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams is integral to daily operations. Candidates must be flexible to work 3 out of 5 major holidays as scheduled, and all scheduling requests should be provided upfront during submission.
