Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart (OH) specialists are needed at an acute care facility for a rotating day/evening shift schedule. This role involves providing specialized cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical support, including a variety of complex cases such as CABG, valve repair or replacement (both open and robotic), ECMO, transplants, thoracic surgeries, vascular interventions, and more. The assignment begins on 10/19/2026 and concludes on 01/18/2027, with a focus on experienced clinicians capable of working in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating day/evening shifts, with 8 hours per shift and a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (American Heart Association) certification; minimum of 2 years of experience in operating room surgery specializing in open heart, thoracic, or vascular procedures. No travel experience required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiac surgery cases, robotic procedures, and transplant surgeries preferred.
• Float: Float rotation may be required within other services of the facility's operating rooms.
• Additional Information: Clinicians will onboard at the primary facility for at least one week before transitioning to the second location. Mandatory call is required with a response time of 30 minutes; one night of call per week and one weekend of call per month. Call response housing is available as needed. The role involves working with open surgical cases, including cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries, with occasional holiday call duties. The charting system used is EPIC.
• Certifications: BLS (AHA) required.
• License to Submit: No.
• Experience: 2 years in OR with a focus on cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgeries.
• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, starting 10/19/2026 through 01/18/2027.
• Contract Length: Open to 13-week or longer contracts.
