Description
Job Summary:
Certified Operating Room Technician (ORT CERT) position located in an acute care setting. This role involves supporting surgical teams across various service lines, including ENT, Uro, GYN, Neuro, Cardiovascular, and many others. The successful candidate will have cardiac experience, hold a Washington State registered certification, and be capable of working in a fast-paced environment with complex cases and robotic procedures.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts, variable days from Monday through Friday, with start times at 6:30 am, 9:00 am, or 11:00 am. The shifts total 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); minimum of 1 year of experience; must have Washington State registration for surgical techs.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with DaVinci Xi robotic system; scrub experience in complex cases including ENT (functional endoscopic sinus surgery, septoplasty, cochlear implants, tympanoplasty, laryngoscopy, thyroid/parathyroid surgery).
- Call Details: One weeknight or weekend call per 4-week schedule; weekday call from shift end until 7 am the following morning; weekend call is 24 hours rotating between staff and travelers; response time within 30 minutes.
- Additional Information: Orientation includes two days with a surgical tech involving HR and operating room leadership; unit team is supportive with teaching opportunities; travelers often extend their assignments.
- Certifications: Must have BLS; no additional certifications required.
