Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse position is available in a Level III trauma center. The role involves providing specialized critical care to a diverse patient population with a variety of complex diagnoses. The ICU nurse will perform patient assessments, manage cardiac rhythms, ventilators, invasive lines, and conduct patient teaching in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Current licenses, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, ICU experience, at least 2 years of ICU experience or equivalent in an acute care setting
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation, vent management, invasive line management, ostomy, general drains, trachs, and EPIC electronic medical record system
• Additional Information: The primary unit will be ICU and the traveler will work in a fast-paced, resourceful environment requiring flexibility. Patient ratios are 1:2 in ICU, with support from hospitalist, intensivist, and respiratory therapy services. The role includes patient transport duties across hospital departments, with night shift responsibilities to assist ED units and patient care areas. Orientation comprises 2 days of hospital-wide login and module access, plus 1 day on the assigned unit.
