Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse position located in Kansas City, MO. This hospital-based role involves providing advanced patient care in a cardiac telemetry unit with a focus on post-cardiac procedural recovery and patient monitoring, ensuring high-quality care aligned with patient experience goals.

Job Details:

• Schedule: The shift is 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The start date is 12/14/2026, with a targeted end date of 03/15/2027. Full-time hours include three weekend shifts per scheduling period.
• Required Qualifications: Valid certifications including ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. Experience in Cardiac Telemetry or Progressive Care Unit / Intensive Care Unit settings. Ability to read and interpret EKGs and telemetry strips. Must have experience with post-cardiac procedural care, including Ablations, cardiac catheterizations, Post-Operative Day 1 Open Heart, and permanent Pacemaker placements. Ability to administer and titrate IV medications such as insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Float: Float rotation may be required if competency is demonstrated in additional units.
• Additional Information: The unit is equipped with Alaris IV Pumps, SCD machines, Hill Rom beds, DynaMap monitors in each room, Welch Allen Vital Machines, Wound Vacs, Temporary Pacemakers, Telemetry monitors, EKG Machines, Bladder Scanners, Dopplers, and I-Mobile communication devices. Staff are expected to adhere to patient experience standards by providing courteous, respectful, and responsive care, involving patients in bedside reports and teaching them how to call for assistance.
• Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
• Dress Code: Navy Blue scrubs; black scrub pants with Navy Blue top may be worn.
