Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical Floor registered nurse (RN) position is located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This role involves providing high-quality patient care on a 30-bed medical-surgical unit, with a focus on respiratory diseases, renal conditions, gastrointestinal illnesses, and related procedures. The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and comfort while adhering to hospital policies and procedures.

Job Details:

• Location: Chattanooga, TN
• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start Date: 10/19/2026
• End Date: 01/18/2027
• Required Qualifications: Active RN license; minimum 1 year of medical-surgical nursing experience; teamwork, compassion, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with respiratory diseases, renal disease, gastrointestinal illnesses, tele, CVCs, indwelling catheters, heparin gtts, and other advanced skills.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information:
  • Unit specific policies and guidelines to be attached.
  • The unit utilizes Meditech documentation system.
  • Four weekend shifts are required per 28-day schedule, participating in holiday rotation.
  • Patient communication experience must meet 72% standard utilizing communication boards.
  • Staff includes clinical coordinators, unit secretaries, PCTs, and case management.
  • Equipment used includes walkers, IV pumps, sequential compression devices, etc.
  • Dress code includes navy blue scrubs.
