Job Summary:
Step Down Unit registered nurse (RN) opportunity in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This position involves providing specialized care to patients transitioning from intensive care to less acute settings. The role requires comprehensive cardiac knowledge and the ability to manage complex patient needs on a 12-hour shift schedule.

Job Details:

• Qualifications: Valid RN license, ACLS and BLS certifications are required; cardiac knowledge preferred. Must have the ability to perform procedures such as chest tube management, wound vac management, and EKG interpretation. No minimum experience required beyond the ability to fulfill the role.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with a start date of 09/28/2026 and end date of 12/28/2026.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include bedside and hourly patient rounding with focus on the 5 Ps, documentation of telemetry application, rhythm strip management, and adherence to unit policies. Float rotation may include general medical-surgical, orthopedic, progressive care, and surgical with oncology units as needed.
