Description

Job Summary:
The Surgical Technician (OR Tech) position is located at a healthcare facility specializing in various surgical procedures. This role involves supporting surgical teams in a fast-paced environment with a focus on vascular, neuro/neurohybrid, thoracic, robotics, transplant, general, orthopedic, hand, spine, podiatry, gyn, and carotid/endovascular cases. Candidates should have experience in operating room settings, be proficient with surgical equipment, and be capable of supporting department management during shifts.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Three shifts per week, each lasting 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. The specific shift times include 0630-1900, 0630-1700, and 1030-2300 shifts, based on unit needs.
  • Required Qualifications: - Two years of experience as a Surgical Technician or Operating Room Technologist - Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) - Proficiency in vascular, neuro/neurohybrid, thoracic, robotics, transplant, general, orthopedic, hand, spine, podiatry, gynecological, and carotid/endovascular cases - Skills in circulating roles, Foley catheter management, chest tube management, AED use, and proficiency with specific surgical equipment such as Bovie, tourniquet, harmonic, OR bed, stretchers, and robotics experience preferred but not required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with robotic systems such as Davinci D5 is preferred.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required to support other areas within the operating room.
  • Additional Information: Orientation will include a full week of facility and unit-specific training, with shifts scheduled to include weekend rotation, on-call responsibilities, and holiday coverage as dictated by unit needs. Scrub color designated as teal blue, with free badge access parking available.
