Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in an acute care facility specializing in emergency services. The role involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, with a focus on patient safety, clinical excellence, and efficient workflow management. This position requires adaptable, skilled nurses capable of critical thinking and rapid decision-making.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shifts of 12 hours, including 1p-1a, 3p-3a, 5p-5a, and 7p-7a, with a minimum commitment of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  • Valid California licensure as a BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent ER experience
  • Demonstrated experience with EPIC electronic health record system
  • Strong references and travel experience preferred
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) certification or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
  • 3-5 years of ER experience, with some trauma and pediatric experience
• Additional Information:
  • The emergency department averages a daily patient census of approximately 190-200 patients, with rapid patient discharge and frequent inpatient admissions
  • Nurses should possess critical thinking skills to manage a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
  • The patient demographic tends to be well-educated and vocal about quality of care, emphasizing the importance of nursing excellence and patient experience
