Description

Job Summary:
Cardiac Cath Laboratory Nurse located in the region requires a dedicated healthcare professional to support patients undergoing various cardiac procedures. The role involves providing specialized nursing care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring patient safety, and executing responsibilities according to department protocols.

Job Details:

  • Shift Schedule: Days, with 9-hour shifts Monday through Friday, including rotating days off and call coverage expanding beyond standard hours to include weekends and holidays.
  • Required Qualifications: Active Illinois nursing license, minimum of 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience, STEMI experience required, ACLS, BLS certifications (AHA or ARC), NIHSS certification, and must be willing to wait for license submission.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Neuro Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures is preferred.
  • Department: Cardiac Catheterization Lab, supporting procedures such as coronary angiography, PCI, electrophysiology studies, device implants, carotid interventions, and recovery.
  • Equipment and EMR: Epic, Change Healthcare (formerly McKesson), Lifepak 20.
  • Patient Population: Patients with diagnoses such as STEMI, requiring interventions including PCI, structural heart procedures, ablations, and device management.
  • Additional Information: Orientation is personalized based on prior experience, typically lasting 1 to 2 days in each procedural area. Floating within the cath lab department may be required.
  • Scheduling Details: Starts on 09/28/2026 and ends on 01/11/2027, with scheduled hours totaling at least 36 hours per week.
