Job Summary
Sterile Processing Technician in a healthcare environment, located at a regional health center serving Southeast Iowa. This role involves working within the Central Sterile Department, supporting sterilization and processing of surgical instruments and supplies. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care through vital operational responsibilities in a dedicated team setting.

Job Details

• Schedule: Shifts are days, with a shift duration of 12 hours, requiring a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: 1-2+ years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician, with the necessary certifications and a minimum of 1 year of experience.
• Additional Information:
  • Must have Iowa Suspended Individual National Background (SING) background check completed and cleared (criminal and child abuse portions).
  • All background checks (counties and states) must be fully cleared prior to start; no instant or statewide checks accepted.
  • Mandatory reporter certification (Child and Adult) is required.
  • Drug screening must include a 10-panel test including opiates.
  • Titers (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, TB) must be within the last 12 months.
  • Onboarding allowed on Mondays or Tuesdays.
  • This is a replacement position for current staff, with a scheduled start date of 10/05/2026 and end date of 12/05/2026.
