Job Summary:
The Operating Room Surgery Center is seeking a registered nurse in Madison, WI, to join its surgical team for a temporary assignment. The role involves managing multispecialty procedures, circulating, and scrubbing in the operating room. The position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment within a highly ranked facility known for excellence in patient care.
Job Details:
- Job Title: Registered Nurse Operating Room Surgery Center
- Location: Madison, WI
- Schedule: Day shift, 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, from 0640 to 1710. No weekends or holidays. Rotation of days off weekly.
- Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), WI RN or Compact RN license required
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty they are submitting to. Inpatient RN travelers must have at least two years of acute care experience.
- Charting System: Epic
- Patient Population: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- Daily Census: 30 patients
- Unit Details: Will be involved in multispecialty surgical procedures, managing operating room operations, with responsibilities including circulating and scrubbing.
- Additional Requirements: Inpatient OR experience required, telemetry exam may be required with strict passing criteria, including identification of lethal rhythms. Pass/fail testing must be completed prior to start.
- Travel Details: Travelers are required to float as needed. The local rule requires candidates to live at least 50 miles from the facility. Minimum experience of two years in acute care within the last three years in the specialty is mandatory.
