Job Summary
PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Registered Nurse in Farmington, New Mexico. This position involves providing post-anesthesia recovery care for adult patients with mid to high acuity, primarily in a level III trauma center. The role focuses on patient safety and comfort during the immediate postoperative period, supporting a variety of surgical specialties.
Job Details
- Shift: Days, 8:30 AM 6:30 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: RN degree; BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; 3 years of experience in PACU or related recovery setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma recovery, pediatric recovery skills, and dental recovery procedures are a plus.
- Responsibilities: Providing postoperative recovery care for adult and pediatric patients, monitoring vital signs, managing pain and complications, and ensuring patient safety throughout the recovery process.
- Schedule: The position involves working days with a guaranteed 40 hours weekly, including on-call responsibilities during weekends and evenings.
- Additional Information: The role requires flexibility to potentially be floated to Preoperative and/or Endoscopy units as needed. Candidates must be able to start on 11/09/2026 and work through 02/08/2027.
