Description

Job Summary:
The healthcare professional specializing as a Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician will be working in a clinical setting, primarily during night shifts. This role involves providing specialized patient care duties within the operating room suite, supporting surgical teams, and ensuring compliance with safety and procedural standards. The position requires strong experience with womens procedures and a commitment to maintaining high-quality surgical support.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Nights, no call required
  • Schedule: 12-hour shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Start Date: 10/05/2026
  • End Date: 01/02/2027
  • Required Qualifications: Minimum of high school education preferred; at least three years of experience as a scrub person in a hospital setting; strong OB-GYN procedure experience; licensure from an approved Operating Room Technician program or demonstrated technical skills through on-the-job training; scrubbing, operating room procedures, patient care, instrument tray accountability, and surgeon preference card updates knowledge required; BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required
  • Preferred Qualifications: Approved program for Operating Room Technicians or demonstrated technical skills through on-the-job training; Scrub Tech Certification preferred
  • Additional Information: Demonstrates and supports practices and policies in compliance with health and safety standards; completes and maintains all regulatory requirements including licensing, certification, and mandatory training such as TB testing, HIPAA, and compliance training; responsible for documentation related to counts, instrument trays, and updates to surgeon preference cards; works proactively to identify problems and suggest process improvements; contributes to teaching and team development
