Description

Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse position available in an acute care setting. The role involves providing specialized cardiac and pulmonary care on a 12-hour rotating shift schedule. Candidates must possess the necessary licensure and clinical experience to support patients with complex cardiac conditions.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) highly desired
    • Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the state/district required
    • Cardiac telemetry experience required, 2 years of RN experience required
    • Cerner electronic health record experience required
    • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Candidates residing within 50 miles of the unit
  • Additional Information:
    • Must be able to handle frequent IV drips such as Heparin, Milrinone, Lasix, Bumex
    • Common diagnoses include CHF, NSTEMI, arrhythmias, and vascular surgery patients
    • Experience working in a cardiac-focused stepdown unit preferred
