Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nursing position is available at a healthcare facility located in San Jose, CA. This role involves providing patient care in a busy emergency department with a focus on acute care in a 36-bed unit. The position is scheduled for night shifts, requiring collaboration with a varied team of healthcare professionals, including experienced charge nurses and support staff.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shift, minimum 36 hours per week, starting on 09/29/2026 and ending on 12/22/2026
- Required Qualifications: Candidates must have a minimum of 3-5 years of Emergency Department experience in an acute care hospital, along with certifications in PALS, ACLS, and BLS.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience as a charge nurse or prior travel/interim experience working in California is preferred.
- Unit Information:
- Number of beds: 36
- Staff on shift: 113
- Types of staff: Varied, including charge nurses, RNs, CNAs, and sitters
- Patient ratios: 4:1 for general patients, 1:1 or 2:1 for critical care patients
- Equipment: Phillips EMR, Meditech
- Additional Information:
- No float requirements
- Dress code: Scrubs (no specific color)
- Work every other weekend
- The role is created to fill a vacant position
