Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nursing position is available at a healthcare facility located in San Jose, CA. This role involves providing patient care in a busy emergency department with a focus on acute care in a 36-bed unit. The position is scheduled for night shifts, requiring collaboration with a varied team of healthcare professionals, including experienced charge nurses and support staff.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shift, minimum 36 hours per week, starting on 09/29/2026 and ending on 12/22/2026
• Required Qualifications: Candidates must have a minimum of 3-5 years of Emergency Department experience in an acute care hospital, along with certifications in PALS, ACLS, and BLS.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience as a charge nurse or prior travel/interim experience working in California is preferred.
• Unit Information:
  • Number of beds: 36
  • Staff on shift: 113
  • Types of staff: Varied, including charge nurses, RNs, CNAs, and sitters
  • Patient ratios: 4:1 for general patients, 1:1 or 2:1 for critical care patients
  • Equipment: Phillips EMR, Meditech
• Additional Information:
  • No float requirements
  • Dress code: Scrubs (no specific color)
  • Work every other weekend
