Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Float Nurse position available in a large healthcare facility. This role involves providing general medical and surgical nursing care across multiple units, including assessments, care planning, and inter-professional communication. The assignment offers a 12-hour shift schedule and requires flexibility to float to other medical units as needed.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 3 weekend shifts in 4 weeks, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: IN state or compact registered nurse license, at least 1.5 years of Level 1, Level 2, or tertiary experience, and at least 1 year of experience at a facility with 450+ beds. Certifications include BLS through AHA.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing diverse patient populations with diagnoses such as COPD, Diabetes, CHF, infections, neurological issues, and mental health disorders. Proficiency with electronic health records (Epic), IV pumps, wound vacs, and other medical equipment.
• Additional Information: Candidate must complete the Jump Start orientation, including 1 day of general hospital orientation, approximately 5 days of nursing orientation, and Epic classes. Floating to other medical units within the department will be required.
• Start Date: 10/05/2026
• End Date: 01/04/2027
• Certifications: BLS (AHA) required
• Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years in medical-surgical nursing at a large hospital setting
