Job Summary:
The OR (Operating Room) Surgical Technician/Operating Room (OR) Technician position is located in a healthcare facility environment. This role involves supporting surgical teams by preparing and passing instruments during procedures, maintaining sterile technique, and assisting with room turnover. The position requires at least two years of directly related experience and demands a comprehensive understanding of surgical procedures and instrumentation.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, scheduled from 10/12/2026 to 01/09/2027; rotating shifts including potential nights and weekends; on-call duty required.
• Required Qualifications: - Completion of an accredited surgical technology program recognized by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or a formal structured surgical program e.g., military service. - Current American Heart Association (AHA) Certification for Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers. - Two or more years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience. - Knowledge of normal/abnormal anatomy and physiology. - Ability to apply judgment, work independently, and foster effective working relationships.

• Additional Information:
  • Provides support to surgeons by anticipating needs and requesting instruments and supplies based on procedures.
  • Performs surgical counts to ensure safety and accuracy during procedures.
  • Maintains aseptic technique and ensures equipment is functioning properly, notifying appropriate personnel of any issues.
  • Assists with patient transportation and supports operating room safety protocols.
