Job Summary
Orthopedic Medical Surgical Nurse (MS ORTHO) Indianapolis, Indiana. This position involves providing specialized nursing care on a 34-bed orthopedic and neuro surgical unit. The role requires engaging with patients recovering from stroke, neuro conditions, postoperative back surgeries, and hip fractures, ensuring optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Nursing license; minimum of 2 years of experience; cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification; experience in orthopedic and neurological patient care; must be willing to work nights.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with stroke, neuro, post-operative back surgeries, and hip fracture patients; knowledge of electronic medical record systems.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The unit utilizes equipment including Alaris infusion pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing systems, and the Epic electronic medical record platform. The candidate will be expected to complete any required education modules prior to the first day of work.
