Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in an inpatient care setting. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care, supervising ancillary staff, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans. The RN ensures safety and compliance with all hospital guidelines while promoting a positive and safe environment for patients and staff.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license (RN) in the state of practice, BLS certification prior to first shift, ACLS certification (if applicable), minimum of two (2) years bedside clinical experience, ICU experience/appropriate skills for LTACH, previous experience in a similar setting, and the ability to meet the education and physical requirements for the role.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a Progressive Care Unit and previous experience in a healthcare organization.
• Additional Information: Performs nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, collaborates with the care team, documents patient care accurately, participates in patient rehabilitation programs, initiates discharge planning, and provides patient education. Maintains communication with the management team regarding supplies and clinical needs. Assumes charge responsibilities as appropriate and actively pursues professional development.
