Job Summary
The Medical Surgical Floor is located in a facility that emphasizes safety, quality care, and shared decision making. This role involves working on a Medsurg unit that blends patient care for medical-surgical, swing bed, and progressive care patients. The position requires providing high-quality nursing care in a team-oriented environment, following evidence-based practices, and participating in unit committees. The shift is scheduled from 7 PM to 7 AM, with every other holiday and weekend.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Illinois Registered Nurse license, current CPR/BLS card, ACLS certification, and recent experience in a medical-surgical or related unit. No minimum years of experience required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Certification in specific areas such as Cardiac Care, Neonatal Resuscitation Program, PALS, or Emergency Room certifications are a plus.
• Additional Information: This role involves working on a unit with patient ratios of 1:5 for Medsurg, 1:5-6 for Swing Bed, and 1:3-4 for PCU depending on patient needs. The facility is designated as a Pathways to Excellence facility by the ANCC, highlighting its commitment to safety and quality. There is no on-call requirement.
