Job Summary
Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) Registered Nurse (RN) Days at a healthcare facility. This position involves providing advanced cardiac care to adult patients, performing percutaneous coronary interventions, pacemaker placements, TEE procedures, and other interventional cardiology services. The role requires working four 10-hour shifts per week with on-call responsibilities, delivering exceptional patient care within a fast-paced cardiology environment.
Job Details
- Schedule: 4x10 Days (07:00-17:30) with one scheduled late shift per week (10:00-20:30), totaling at least 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: RN license in MD or a valid compact license, BLS certification, ACLS certification, CPI certification (on-site during orientation); 3 years of experience in cardiac catheterization labs preferred; local candidates accepted at a reduced local travel rate
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience, vascular intervention experience, patient ratio experience, Epic charting system experience, trauma level I or II experience, trauma experience, community hospital experience, LTAC experience, travel experience, NRP or AAP certification preferred
- Additional Information: Must be within 30-minute response time for scheduled on-call shifts, which run from 1730-0700 Monday through Friday and 0700-0700 on weekends and holidays. Floating to pre-op and post-anesthesia care units (PACU) within the unit or specialty as needed. Candidate must be comfortable floating without restrictions.
- On-site Training: 20 hours of orientation are provided prior to start.
- Patient Diagnoses & Procedures: Care for patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome, CHF, STEMI/NSTEMI, AFIB, Bradycardia, performing Percutaneous Coronary Interventions, Pacemaker insertions, loop monitor placements, transesophageal echocardiography, and cardioversion.
- Equipment & Skills: Experience with Balloon Pumps, IVUS, sheaths, IABP, monitoring of arrhythmias, interpreting 12-lead EKG/ECG, vascular access, and procedural sedation.
- Travel & Certification Requirements: Must hold an active MD or Compact Nurse license. Certifications include BLS, ACLS, CPI, with CPI certification required for compliance.
- Compliance & Submittal: Labs to be completed within 72 hours of signing. All required documentation and modules must be completed 5 days prior to start date.
