Description
Job Summary:
Certified Operating Room Technician (ORT CERT) position located in the area. This role involves supporting surgical teams in a hospital environment, with a focus on thoracic and vascular cases. The position offers a night shift schedule and requires qualified candidates to be proficient in general surgical procedures and experienced in specialized cases, including robotic surgery.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 10-hour night shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting 10/05/2026 and ending 01/04/2027.
- Required Qualifications: Certification as a Certified Operating Room Technician (CST*, NBSTSA*, IAHCSM). No prior experience required beyond the position's training period. Valid state license in good standing; compact license accepted.
- Preferred Qualifications: Thoracic and vascular surgical experience; ability to take call independently; Pediatric case experience is a plus.
- Float: Float to Orthopedic Operating Room, Ambulatory Operating Room may be required.
- Special Procedures & Unit Details: Support in general surgery, thoracic, vascular, robotic, bariatric, pediatric, and other specialized surgical procedures. Experience with robotic systems (Da Vinci SP and Xi), endovascular procedures, and advanced surgical techniques is highly desirable.
- Call Requirements: Not required for this night shift position.
- Additional Information: Candidates must have at least 1 year of related surgical experience in OR settings, with proficiency in managing a broad range of surgical procedures. Must be available to work the scheduled shifts and to respond promptly to any calls related to emergency procedures or scheduling.
