Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Gainesville, Florida. This 13-week assignment involves working in a high-acuity, trauma-capable emergency department at a busy academic medical center. The position requires adaptability to floating between two standalone emergency departments and the main adult emergency department, with a focus on providing exceptional patient care during night shifts.

Job Details

  • Position Description: RN Emergency in Gainesville, FL, with a contract duration from November 2, 2026, to January 30, 2027.
  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week, variable days, including holidays and weekends.
  • Required Qualifications: 2-3 years as an RN with prior travel experience, current BLS, PALS (or ENPC), and ACLS certifications; FL or compact license; EPIC EMR experience preferred; at least 2 years of ER experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center recommended; strong traveler profile required.
  • Additional Certifications: TNCC preferred, EKG interpretation skills mandatory, with testing required at start.
  • Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years in ER.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required, with flexibility necessary for position.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must pass a specialty-specific basic test and an EKG interpretation exam before orientation. Influenza vaccination is mandatory; proof of vaccination required prior to start, with medical exemptions only.
  • Submission Requirements: Candidates should be prepared to be open to floating, with flexibility in schedule and assignment.
