Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a healthcare facility. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care by following individualized care plans, performing patient assessments, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team. The RN will ensure patient safety, provide education, and support discharge planning while adhering to safety protocols and maintaining effective communication.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification prior to the first shift; valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification prior to the first shift (CIRH only); at least 2 years of bedside clinical experience is highly desired; education, certifications, and experience must meet facility standards.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working within a Progressive Care Unit setting.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Performs comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to develop individualized care plans. Initiates discharge planning from the day of admission and provides patient education in preparation for discharge. Ensures timely and accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and responses. Participates in team activities to foster a positive work environment. Maintains communication with senior staff regarding supply needs, equipment repairs, and training. Assumes charge nurse responsibilities after orientation and actively pursues professional development.
