Job Summary
Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) located in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing advanced nursing care for adult patients with trauma, cardiac issues, overdose/substance abuse, sepsis, post-stent, pacemaker placement, stroke, vascular cases, renal failure, heart failure, and respiratory distress. The position requires independent critical thinking, clinical expertise, and adherence to hospital protocols for acute patient management.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours, minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN), BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification, a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, and a drivers license to verify outside 50-mile radius.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with vent management, titration of cardiac drips, and familiarity with electronic charting systems such as EPIC.
• Float: Float rotation may be required, typically within Progressive Care Units (PCU) and occasionally Medical-Surgical units, with assignable patient ratios of 1:4 or 1:5.
• Additional Information:
  • Self-scheduling is available for core staff; travel nurses will be added to the schedule.
  • The unit comprises 33 beds with an average daily census of 16.
  • RNs are responsible for monitoring and interpreting telemetry, including reading and documenting strips, with oversight of GE brand monitors.
  • Nurses are required to titrate drips such as cardiac, insulin, and sedation, and troubleshoot ventilator equipment including nasal cannula to vents.
  • Minimal holiday work required, with every other weekend scheduled off.
  • Unit orientation includes one shift, with upfront RTO of 7 days or fewer within the contract period.
  • The position begins on 10/12/2026 and concludes on 01/11/2027.
