Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D) Departmented in an acute care setting. This position involves caring for laboring, pre-term, post-partum obstetric patients and newborns. The role includes managing vaginal and cesarean deliveries, neonatal resuscitation, and utilizing specialized equipment such as electronic fetal monitoring and IV pumps. The schedule includes 12-hour night shifts, with every other weekend as needed.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with every other weekend as needed
• Required Qualifications: Current Indiana RN license or compact license; BLS (American Heart Association); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); minimum 2 years experience in labor and delivery, including cervical exams and fetal monitor interpretation
• Preferred Qualifications: STABLE certification; familiarity with AWHONN guidelines; electronic fetal monitoring experience
• Float: Rarely to Med Surg; floating to other units/departments might be required
• Additional Information: Care of obstetric and neonatal patients, including vaginal and cesarean deliveries, neonatal resuscitation; equipment utilized includes EPIC documentation, Pyxis medication management, Hospira IV pumps, GE Corometric fetal monitors; orientation is jump-start followed by department-specific training. Mandatory attendance during all days of orientation (Monday-Friday week 1, Monday-Tuesday week 2).
