Job Summary:
Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurse Traveler position in the surrounding area. This 13-week assignment offers rotating day and night shifts, with nights running from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM. The role involves providing specialized care to pediatric patients from birth to 21 years with diverse diagnoses. The position requires flexibility to float between inpatient care areas and adherence to scheduled hours.

Job Details:

• Shift: 12-hour rotating days and nights, including 12H Nights (6:45 PM 7:15 AM), with availability of straight night or rotating schedules.
• Schedule: 36 hours per week, start date 10/20/2026 and end date 01/23/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN); Colorado RN license; experience of 2+ years in a comparable PICU as staff RN or 3+ years if no previous travel experience; experience caring for patients from birth to 21 years with diagnostics including respiratory support, chronic childhood diseases, sepsis, TBI, DKA, seizure disorders, oncology, metabolic disorders, NAT; surgical patients such as neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedics, general surgery; equipment proficiency in Trilogy & Drager ventilators, Codman ICP monitors, Medfusion syringe pumps, Baxter large volume IV pumps; required certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); preferred certifications include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Preferred Qualifications: More than 2 years staff experience; at least 1 year travel experience in a teaching facility PICU.
• Float: Float rotation may be required. Eligible to float to all inpatient care areas including critical and acute care floors but not to Emergency Department, Operating Room, or inpatient Psychiatry.
• Additional Information: The client reserves the right to float or reassign personnel within their clinical competence within a thirty-five (35) mile radius of the original facility. No RTO approved within the first two weeks of assignment. Medical and religious flu vaccine exemption requests are allowed with completed exemption forms submitted.
