Description
Job Summary:
Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) in a short-term acute care facility located in a Level III trauma center. The position involves working evenings and requires at least one year of experience in sterile processing or related fields. The role includes operating sterilization equipment, preparing surgical instrumentation, and maintaining strict adherence to aseptic techniques in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Evening shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting on 10/19/2026 and ending on 01/18/2027.
- Required Qualifications: Certification in CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPA, or HSPA OR CBSPD; at least 1 year of experience in sterile processing or surgical instrumentation; experience with Automated Endoscope Reprocessors (AER), high-level disinfection (HLD), sterilization wrapping, and scope reprocessing; valid state license in good standing (if applicable).
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a hospital setting, familiarity with Epic charting system, and cross-training in surgical equipment handling and sterilization procedures.
- Additional Information: Candidates should be experienced travelers only, with a focus on sterile processing. Will be expected to work evenings and possibly participate in holiday coverage. May be required to float between nearby facilities and adhere to scheduled RTO requests provided during application.
