Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse position located in an acute care environment. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting patient care for critically ill patients, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice. The ICU nurse will be responsible for providing specialized nursing care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting patient and family education to promote optimal health outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license in the state of practice or equivalent licensure, BLS certification. Prior experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months, specifically in intensive or critical care units.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field, professional certification in critical care nursing (such as CCRN).
• Additional Information: The role requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently. Must possess physical agility, reaction time, and fine motor skills to respond to patient needs, including lifting up to 75 pounds if necessary. Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members. The position also involves participation in continuous education and potential research activities related to clinical practice.
