Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) registered nurse (RN) opportunity available in a Level I Trauma Center. The position involves providing care to a diverse patient population across all age groups, including neonates, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. The ER RN will manage complex clinical cases, including trauma, stroke, neuro-trauma, and pediatric emergencies, utilizing advanced skills and certifications.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC); minimum of 2 years of ER experience; charting experience with Epic electronic charting system; valid state or compact license in hand at time of submittal; ability to complete core onboarding items/labs within 48 hours of contract signing; must list all required time off at time of submittal; previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, community hospital experience, Level II trauma experience, travel experience, and specific skills including arterial line management, airway and ventilator management, blood product administration, and neuro-trauma care.
• Additional Information: The ER handles a daily census of approximately 105 patients with a total of 36 beds and rooms. Care includes all age groups with a focus on trauma, stroke, neuro-trauma, pediatric emergencies, and major trauma cases. Interdisciplinary support services such as respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and social services are available. Onsite orientation includes 24 hours of training, including core items and labs, completed within 48 hours of contract start.
• Restrictions: The traveler must not reside in designated counties as specified by the organizations compliance rules.
