Job Summary
Pediatric Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) position located at a healthcare facility in the Denver area. This assignment involves working on a high-acuity pediatric pulmonary unit with a focus on ventilator and tracheostomy care. The role requires flexibility to work nights with a schedule of 12-hour shifts over a 14-week period, with specific holiday availability and two weeks of no RTO permitted at the start of the assignment.

Job Details

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 6:45 PM 7:15 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Duration: 14 weeks, from 11/17/2026 to 02/20/2027
• Required Qualifications: RN licensure, BLS and PALS certifications, minimum 2 years of Pediatric RN experience, minimum 2 years of Medical/Pulmonary Pediatrics experience, pediatric pulmonary expertise, experience with tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and chest tube management. Previous travel experience and teaching hospital background are strongly preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: BSN degree, previous travel nursing experience, ventilator-dependent pediatric population experience.
• Scheduling Requirements: Every other weekend, holiday work required (must be available to work 2 of the 3 major holidays), self-scheduling not available, and rarely required to work on rotation.
• Float Policy: The healthcare provider reserves the right to float or reassign within the same cohort per hospital policy, with potential float within the Denver metro area up to 35 miles from the original site.
• Additional Information: Candidates should be comfortable managing high-acuity pediatric pulmonary patients including ventilator-dependent children. Discussing pulmonary and ventilator management experience during the interview is recommended.
