Job Summary
The healthcare provider is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse specializing in IV Vascular Access to work in a facility. This position involves delivering patient care through the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role requires proficiency in venipuncture, vascular access, and PICC line placement, ensuring high standards of patient safety and care.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, successful passage of the organizations Pharmacology exam, current intravenous therapy experience, proficiency in peripheral line placement for children and newborns, experience with PICC line insertion and ultrasound-guided PIVs, PICC placement proficiency within 1 year, IV Certification (CRNI) within 2.5 years, and BSN degree preferred.
• Schedule: Rotating shift, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Responsibilities: Proper utilization of the nursing process; maintaining accurate patient records; administering and monitoring responses to medications; serving as a charge nurse; participating in staff meetings and committees; ensuring safety and quality standards; and providing excellent patient and family service.
• Additional Information: The role involves direct patient care for individuals requiring vascular access and venipuncture, including pediatric patients, and participation in ongoing professional development.
