Job Summary
Medical Surgical Nurse (MS) Night Shift Location: WVU system. This role involves providing high-quality patient care on a 22-bed orthopedic/telemetry unit. The position requires strong orthopedic experience, including total joint replacement and fracture management, within an acute care setting.

Job Details

• Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum 48 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS Certification; 2 years of experience; active nursing license; willingness to wait for license submission; minimum experience requirement: 2 years.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with total joint replacement procedures.
• Additional Information: Must have strong orthopedic experience, particularly with total joint replacements and fractures. RN's are not required to titrate drips, and no titratable or set-rate drips are needed. The unit has telemonitoring, but nurses do not have to read strips.
• Schedule: Night shift, 7 PM 7:30 AM, rotating weekends, holidays as needed.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must have an unexpired drivers license, be willing to wait for license submission, and have up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination.
• Unit Notes: The unit has a patient ratio of 1:5-6 (orthopedics), 1:7-8 (telemetry), three CNA's per shift, and may require floating to other units as needed.
