Job Summary
Emergency Room Nurse (ER) Tallahassee, FL. This position involves providing acute emergency care within a busy trauma center at a teaching hospital. The role requires delivering high-quality care to diverse patient populations in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Position Description: Shift 12 hours 11 am to 11 pm.
• Schedule: Evening shifts, 12 hours, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Compact or Florida license, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) (required after working one year in the ER), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) (required after first 13-week assignment), minimum of 2 years clinical experience in emergency or trauma settings.
• Additional Information: Candidates must have prior experience in a busy trauma center, a similar size Emergency Department with 50+ beds, within a teaching environment, and at a similar facility setting. Candidates must pass an Advanced Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam.
• Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN), Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN).
• Certifications: Must hold a Compact or Florida license, AHA-BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC (post first year), NIHSS, TNCC, CPI (post first 13-week contract).
• Nurse Patient Ratio: 1:4.
