Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in a Level I trauma center located in an acute care hospital. This full-time position involves providing specialized surgical nursing care across various service lines, with a focus on trauma, general, and bariatric procedures. The role requires working with a highly skilled team to deliver optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Position Description: Responsible for perioperative patient care, supporting surgical procedures, and coordinating with the healthcare team to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS, active Illinois license (or in application process), minimum of 3 years of experience in perioperative nursing, and experience with Level I trauma cases.
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, starting on 11/30/2026 and ending on 03/01/2027.
• Additional Information: Will work with all service lines except cardiovascular (CV). Must have experience with general surgery cases such as appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, and laparoscopic procedures. For trauma cases, experience with amputations, gunshot/stab wounds, and motor vehicle accidents is required. Must be skilled in emergency management, including code response and fire safety.
