Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) Nurse in a healthcare facility setting. This role involves providing patient care on a medical surgical unit with telemetry monitoring, supporting a variety of clinical specialties, and ensuring quality patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Shift Time: Rotating
- Shift Hours: 12-hour shifts
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
- Position Description: The assigned nurse will work in a Level I trauma unit with prior travel experience preferred. The role is part of a float pool supporting multiple medical surgical units, including neurology, cardiac, bariatric, general medicine, general surgery GYN, GU, hips and joints, oncology, transplant liver and kidneys, and vascular. Responsibilities include managing ventilators, administering nebulizers, performing 12-lead EKGs, lasix GTT, blood transfusions, and telemetry monitoring.
- Required Qualifications: License as a Registered Nurse, 3+ years of related work experience, CPR from the American Heart Association, ACLS from the American Heart Association, basic computer skills, and experience with Epic electronic medical records. Level I trauma experience and prior travel experience are required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a teaching hospital and expertise in a specialty area is preferred.
- Additional Information: Orientation is weekly (every Monday barring a holiday). The nurse must be available for assignments with short notice, potentially receiving assignments two hours before shifts. All RTO (Reasonable Time Off) requests must be presented at the time of submission. Parking costs up to $43/day, and public transportation is available.
