Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN with Level I/II or III/IV trauma center experience and required ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications for a 48-hour D/E rotation position in Massachusetts.

Details

• Work in a very busy Emergency Department with up to 120 treatment areas serving 350-440 patients per day
• 48-hour D/E rotation schedule with shifts of 7am-7pm, 11am-11pm, or 3pm-3am
• Every other weekend required, 2 weekends per schedule period
• 36-hour contracts will be considered, though 48-hour is preferred
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5 depending on acuity
• Must be flexible to float to Psych ED and Pedi ED (caring for age 15+ patients unless previous pediatric experience)
• Travelers will not be placed in trauma rooms while on assignment
• EPIC EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent Level I or II ED experience, or 2+ years of recent Level III/IV ED experience
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS
• Must independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks
• Must pass a Telemetry Test on Day 1 with a score of 85% or higher
• Must pass Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test A or B
• Critical care experience preferred
• Previous travel assignment experience preferred
• Two professional references required, including one manager-level reference with a performance evaluation completed within the last 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care to a high-volume, high-acuity patient population
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible for the local rate
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience level
