Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse (RN) position available in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing high-quality patient care, performing nursing assessments, developing care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and positive health outcomes. The position requires a commitment to clinical excellence and adherence to safety standards.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: BLS Certification required prior to first shift; ACLS required prior to first shift (CIRH only); minimum two (2) years bedside clinical experience highly desired; no minimum years of experience required for other qualifications.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include performing nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission, developing individualized care plans, participating in patient rehabilitation programs, and initiating discharge planning and patient education from the day of admission.
• Provides direction, training, and supervision of ancillary nursing personnel, utilizing problem-solving techniques for decision making, prioritizing, and organizational tasks.
• Ensures personal and environmental safety following hospital and nursing policies, maintains effective communication for continuity of care, and participates in team-building activities.
• Assumes charge responsibility following orientation as requested, identifies opportunities for professional growth, and actively pursuing continuing education and self-study.
