Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in the healthcare facility setting. The RN will be responsible for delivering quality patient care, conducting assessments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The role emphasizes patient safety, education, and discharge planning, with supervisory responsibilities over ancillary nursing staff.

Job Details

• Certifications: BLS Certification required prior to first shift; ACLS required prior to first shift (CIRH only).
• Education and Experience: Minimum two (2) years bedside clinical experience highly desired; charge experience highly desired.
• Location Requirements: Shift hours are 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Position start date is 10/12/2026 and end date is 01/11/2027.
• Responsibilities include performing nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission, providing patient education, participating in patient rehabilitation programs, initiating discharge planning from day one, and ensuring documentation accuracy.
• The RN provides direction, training, supervision to ancillary nursing personnel, and assists in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
• The role may include charge responsibilities following an orientation period, with a focus on professional development and effective time management.
