Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing specialized care for adult and pediatric patients with complex conditions such as respiratory failure, sepsis, stroke, cardiogenic shock, and renal failure. The role requires collaboration within a fast-paced environment and adherence to unit policies and protocols.

Job Details

• Position Description:
  Provides bedside nursing care in a Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit, directly supporting patient recovery and safety. Responsible for titrating drips including vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmics. Works alongside multidisciplinary team members to manage patients with neuro, respiratory, cardiovascular, and surgical needs.
• Required Qualifications:
  Active licensure as a registered nurse, with ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certifications. Minimum of 2 years recent ICU experience. Valid drivers license.
• Schedule:
  Twelve-hour night shifts (1830-0630), minimum 48 hours per week.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  Ability to interpret telemetry strips, experience with ventilators and central lines, and comfort with high-acuity patient care.
• Additional Information:
  Candidates must have recent ICU experience and be willing to float across inpatient units excluding Maternity/NICU. Shift orientation includes two shifts of unit-specific training. RTO (rella time off) must be requested upfront, and the facility can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week contract period.
