Job Summary:
The Operating Room (OR) Nurse is a registered healthcare professional located in the healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized perioperative patient care in surgical settings, ensuring safety and quality standards are met throughout surgical procedures. The OR Nurse collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to deliver efficient, evidence-based care before, during, and after surgery.

Job Details:

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: ASN; Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BLS (American Heart Association); NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license; ACLS (American Heart Association); Telemetry; NIHSS; CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours; minimum of 2 years RN experience; experience with surgical and/or radiology procedures, symptom management, and phone triage; ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, demonstrate accountability, teamwork, and dedication to ongoing education.
• Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Skills & Experience: Prior surgical or post-operative experience; skilled in managing ostomy, NG tubes, and wound vacs; compassionate, an excellent communicator, and team player; strong sense of accountability and patient focus.
• Preferred Skills & Experience: Bilingual Spanish candidates highly preferred.
• Additional Information: This role involves managing surgical procedures, providing perioperative nursing care, and ensuring patient safety in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must maintain necessary certifications and adhere to organizational standards and policies.
