Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Johnstown, PA. This role involves providing exceptional patient care within a neuro-medical surgical unit at a high-acuity facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing adult patient populations, including those diagnosed with cerebrovascular accidents, transient ischemic attacks, and other common neurological conditions.

Job Details

• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Surgical Floor (Neuro Med Surg)
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, with a guaranteed minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BSN or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), current NIH (National Institutes of Health) certification, and Swallow Screen certification preferred. Candidates must have a minimum of 2+ years of experience in a medical-surgical environment, neuro experience preferred, and be competent in dysrhythmia management.
• Additional Requirements: Candidates must be willing to complete a dysrhythmia and math dosage test on the first day of orientation. Must be available to work during holidays as scheduled.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in neuro or neuro-medical surgical units, proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system, and ability to manage adult patient population with complex needs.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Other Information: The unit is staffed with Mindray vital sign machines, GE EKG, and cardiac monitors. Orientation and all necessary facility education will be provided during the onboarding period.
