Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in Ketchikan, Alaska. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population in a Critical Access hospital setting. The role requires independence in managing cardiac, critical care, trauma, psychiatric, and complex medical-surgical patients across all age groups.

Job Details

• Position: Emergency Room (ER) RN
• Location: Ketchikan, Alaska
• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: AK RN license, ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC certifications; two or more years of ER experience preferred; at least one year of Epic experience preferred; experience managing cardiac, trauma, psychiatric, and complex care patients; ABG skills required; telemetry experience preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric experience, prior travel experience, prior work in an emergency setting, ABG experience.
• Additional Information: Must demonstrate independent management of adult and pediatric patients, including those requiring ventilated care and advanced procedures like RSI. No block scheduling allowed; the role is predominantly night shifts but may include day or evening shifts as needed.
• Submission Requirements: Fully vaccinated, Epic experience (within the last year), proof of license application if applicable, two recent references (one supervisory), and all relevant certifications.
• Notes: Will primarily be staffed for night shifts; candidates must be willing to work in a high-volume, high-risk environment and to float within scope as needed. No local candidates accepted; the candidate must be willing to relocate and work in a remote Alaska setting.
