Job Details

• Position: Surgical Technician/Operating Room Technician in Delano, CA
• Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Certifications and Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree or Certificate of Program Completion in Surgical Technology (required)
  • Certified Surgery Technician (CST) certification or Tech in Surgery TS-C (NCCT) certification (required)
  • National Board of Surgical Technologists or Association of Surgical Technologists certification (required)
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred)
  • Relevant acute care experience (preferred)
• Responsibilities:
  • Verify surgery to be performed with consent forms and prepare patient in the operating room
  • Pass instruments to surgeons during procedures and anticipate their needs for supplies
  • Perform appropriate counts prior to incision and before closing
  • Prepare sterile dressings and secure dressings post-operation
  • Check and set up supplies, instruments, medications, and equipment needed for surgeries
  • Assist with room turnover and sterilization of instruments
  • Support other team members in prepping and cleaning the surgical environment
• Additional Information:
  • EPIC experience is required
  • L&D experience is required for this unit, including assistance with cesarean sections and vaginal deliveries
  • Floating to Bakersfield may be required as needed
