Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) registered nurse position is available in an acute care setting. The role involves providing high-quality nursing care for patients with diverse high-demand and high-acuity conditions, including pulmonary, geriatrics, and other complex medical cases. The position requires adaptability, strong clinical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Position Description: Unit notes indicate a busy MedSurg/Telemetry unit with 28 beds, requiring strong IV start skills and the ability to quickly adapt to a high-demand patient population. Nurses will manage patients with diagnoses such as pneumonia, liver overflow, Sickle Cell, and other high-acuity cases, including those requiring titratable drips like heparin, amiodarone, and blood transfusions.
• Certifications & Qualifications: BLS certification, ACLS certification, NIHSS Certification 2 years of hospital experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry required.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, clock in at 6:38 AM and clock out at 7:15 PM, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
• Responsibilities: Read and interpret telemetry strips, manage high-acuity patient care, perform IV starts, and handle titratable drips. Be flexible to float to other MedSurg acuity areas as needed.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous travel experience, more than 3 years of relevant hospital experience, working in busy hospital environments, and familiarity with EPIC charting system.
• Additional Information: Nurses must be open to floating, follow a teal scrubs dress code, and participate in a 2-day unit-specific orientation. Candidates will need to be comfortable with rapid patient turnover and complex clinical situations.
• Submission Requirements: Current licensure, BSN preferred, and license to submit.
