Job Summary
The Certified Operating Room Technician (ORT CERT), located in the specified healthcare setting, will assist in a variety of surgical procedures across multiple specialties. This role ensures that operating rooms are prepared and maintained according to safety standards, supporting surgeons and the surgical team efficiently.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: Certified Surgical First Assist (CSFA) through NBSTSA, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA, inclusive of BLS Certification, with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Schedule: 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM 5:30 PM, with weekday and weekend call rotations, holiday call, and float to outpatient surgery as needed. Minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Position Responsibilities: Assist with a broad range of surgical cases, including neuro spine, total joints, open fractures, general, ENT, and others, excluding open heart and vascular surgeries. Support sterile environment setup, room turnovers, and patient safety protocols.
• Additional Information: The role involves assisting in surgeries with a tech-to-RN ratio of approximately 2:1, operating in an acute care setting with 24/7 RT presence, and maintaining compliance with all clinical and safety standards. Call response time is 20 minutes, with on-call shifts including 12-hour and 24-hour rotations. Scrubbing experience is a plus but not required.
