Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit and Cardiovascular Specialty Nurse in the Southwest region. This position involves providing specialized critical care services in a 15-bed ICU unit with a focus on post-cardiac procedures, open heart, balloon pump, and CRRT. The role includes float responsibilities to other units such as Medical ICU and Progressive Care Unit, ensuring comprehensive patient care during a 12-hour shift schedule.

Job Details

• Qualifications: Arizona State License, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), with at least 2 years of ICU or cardiac experience required. Candidates must have ventilator management and vasoactive drips experience.
• Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities: Providing high-acuity care for cardiac and ICU patients, performing procedures such as post-coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG), and managing patients on balloon pumps and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT). Willingness to float to Medical ICU and Progressive Care Unit is required.
• Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to work at least 6 weekend shifts within the 6-week schedule, including Saturdays and Sundays, for a 13-week contract. The unit operates with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 2:1, utilizing Cerner electronic medical records. Scrub color is flexible, and no on-call duties are scheduled.
