Job Summary
Operating Room Cardiothoracic Technologist Centered in Madison, WI. This role involves supporting complex cardiac and thoracic surgeries in a high-caliber, level I hospital setting. The position requires assisting with a range of procedures including ECMO, CABG, LVAD, thoracic robotics, lung resection, and transplant surgeries, with strong clinical skills in surgical assisting and patient safety.

Job Details

• Certifications: BLS, CST*, Completion of Surgical Technologist program or two years of Surgical Technologist experience may be considered in lieu of program completion.
• Education & Experience: Self-contained, with a minimum of 2 years scrubbing experience in complex surgical procedures preferred.
• Location: Madison, WI
• Schedule: Day/Evening, 12-hour shifts, Monday through Friday variation, with weekend call starting at 3:00 PM Friday until 7:00 AM Monday. Will consider 17-26 weeks and 4x12s.
• Required Qualifications: Experience in cardiac/thoracic surgeries, including ECMO, CABG, LVAD, thoracic robotic surgery, lobectomy, mitral valves, VATS, lung resection, transplant (kidney, liver), teaching hospital experience, and trauma certification.
• Additional Information: The role includes scrub responsibilities for complex surgeries, requiring comfort working independently, with strict adherence to safety protocols. Must pass telemetry and cardiac rhythm identification tests with high accuracy before assignment start.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
