Job Summary
ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurse in Washington This position involves providing specialized patient care within the ICU setting at a healthcare facility. The role requires adapting to various units, including ICU and PCU, with opportunities to float across multiple hospitals within the region. The assignment supports experienced RNs in delivering critical care to patients with complex medical needs.

Job Details

• Location: Washington, primarily at the designated ICU, with potential to float to other units across multiple hospitals within the region.
• Certifications & Experience: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities: Caring for ventilated patients with diagnoses such as respiratory failure, COVID-19, sepsis, cardiac arrest, and DKA. Skills include titrating medications such as sedation drips, pressors, diuretics, insulin, and antiarrhythmics. Read and interpret telemetry strips, operate vents and CPAP/BiPAP equipment.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The unit maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of 2:1 in ICU and 3:1 or 4:1 in PCU under normal circumstances. Shift orientation includes one to twelve hours with comprehensive on-site or remote onboarding. No call or standby requirements are necessary.
